The Las Vegas Courtesan

Recently I found an article in the Review Journal about a school from Lynchburg, Virginia who decided to take a field trip to the brothels outside of Las Vegas. Not your ordinary field trip for sure. The class sounded like an interesting one though and consisted of examining how we all are consumers and what do we consume. They visited northeastern Nevada where they want to pipe water for several hundred miles to Las Vegas (a plan I don’t agree with for sure), some farms, and last but not least the Chicken Ranch Brothel out in Pahrump, Nevada (one of Las Vegas’ closest bordellos people can visit). Apparently the media got a hold of such a field trip and decided to join the 11 women visiting from the Virginia school at the Chicken Ranch. I wish I would have known because I would have wanted the tour as well! I have read the book about the Mustang Ranch by Alexa Albert and have always been curious to learn more about the legal side of prostitution.

Anyway why I mentioned this article is because I was slightly shocked at the women being open minded to such a discussion. One girl was quoted saying, “”People keep asking me if this has changed my opinion about prostitution. I’m not sure I had an opinion on prostitution.” She said also that she “found it hard to condemn the industry after seeing it in person.” Good article and I love hearing about normal people experiencing different things and having an open mind about it. Wish more Americans were the same way…  Here is some more legal Nevada brothel information.

I always like hearing crazy or silly stories from girls. I went on a number of calls at the MGM Grand back to back with a nice girls I have known for a while from an escort service we both work for. After being taken into the back and they grilled her about knowing who she was, they said they were calling Metro Police to take her to jail for trespassing. She said she broke down crying since she had plans to take her son to NASCAR the next day and went on and on about how important that day was to her. I guess the head of security finally had half a heart so when Metro did arrive, he told the officer to give her a ticket instead of hauling her off to jail. Still an asshole to me..

The funny part of the story is how she went on about how many times she was trespassed at the Bellagio before the current security staff she encountered. She said she would go “freelancing” in the casino every night there and the security would catch her, make her come to the security office and sign a piece of paper saying she wouldn’t come back but then as she left would shout to her, “See you tomorrow night!” She said it went on constantly and was just a joke, and one time went to the office and saw 10 other girls being held for Metro… all obviously prostitutes who were black. She said when she signed the normal piece of paper the other girls flipped out since she was being let go. The head of security replied, “Now now it’s not that… I just wouldn’t want you girls to go back out to my casino!”  She also mentioned certain employees requesting girl’s panties or to show them to the staff to get let go with no problems. I had also heard of guards at the Wynn being paid off by girls who didn’t want to get into trouble when the casino first opened.

Quite interesting the stuff I hear, though I don’t believe all of it sometimes… it’s still interesting to hear the craziness that people tell me about happening in Las Vegas casinos.

So the couple that I talked about standing me up in this entry surprised me by calling me on Sunday saying they were in town yet again and hoped to see me. I was glad and cringed at the same time. I didn’t want to waste more time trying to meet up with them but at least this time it was for a Sunday, and not a busy Saturday night. I said sure, 11 pm was fine and meet up at the Palazzo again.

We chit chatted and I tried to nicely explain that the last time ended up being a waste of 2 hours or so of my time. Since I work for services I have to tell them I am off (or “calling off” as we say) because I have an appointment. In order for me to get places on time and not get caught up at a hotel, I have to do this about 1 hour ahead of time. They mentioned, “sorry about last time, it won’t happen again”. We shall see.

I went to their room, got tipped a little extra for my wasted time the previous time. The husband told his wife to go shower up and change into her new lingerie outfit. I find it amusing that I have people combing websites to find out who I really am. Awesome! Keep searching… it’s possible. I have actually had one person figure out who I was and booked a party with me. I was quite surprised when I found this out… so see? It is possible.

So someone else asked me about my opinion on the whole ridiculously over-rated Spitzer sex-scandal and his involvement in a “prostitution ring”. I don’t see what the whole huge deal was that the media and the New York government immediately wanted him to step down. As far as I know, he didn’t lie under oath. The new governor has admitted now to using cocaine and marijuana so how does that make him any better of a governor than Spitzer? They both broke the law, neither done in front or to a law enforcement officer, so who knows what really happened? Most importantly… who cares? I sure don’t. I don’t know if Spitzer was that swell of a governor but it’s a shame he lost his job for this and the replacement isn’t much better of a “moral character”. I hate that word by the way… morals. Its something that the right winged religious fanatics care about and that’s the voice that gets heard the most in our government. I wish our country would get out of the Victorian Age of thinking and get a wake up call.

I can’t find the poll but a friend of mine told me of a poll he saw on the Times’ web site about prostitution and should it be legal or not. He said that a large majority said they think it should be legalized and regulated. Wow… just wish I could find that!
