Got Out Of Jail And Out Of Vegas For A While

Saturday, December 13th, 2008

Yea, what a bummer Monday was.  I had a flight booked for my annual trip out of town for the holidays early in the morning and decided to go on one **last* call. The night wasn’t such a great money but I thought it would be good to work up to the last minute before I had to go to my house, gather my bags and get my butt to the airport.  I went to the Bellagio with another girl I’ve known for a few years (and tends to dress way casual for calls to not draw attention) and we were there for a minute before having to collect the agency fee. Things were going all right until the guys said they wanted to tip a whopping $100 bucks for full service entertainment. I explained that you couldn’t tip $100 bucks and expect such a crazy amount of entertainment. There was a little bit of a language barrier since they were visiting from Mexico but it wasn’t going too bad until the guy who speaks less English (and ironically who had paid the fee) got a “fuck this” attitude and said forget it all give him the fee back. We had already said and translated 3 times that this fee was non-refundable, but of course that didn’t matter to him now. More arguing ensued, the customer grabbed my phone while trying to call the service to tell them what was going on and the other customer started to call security. I told him to hang up the phone after he started talking to them, which he did, and the other guy took the fee back. Everything was fine and security did call back to the guy but he never said that everything is fine now and don’t bother sending anyone up.

We leave the room and security is coming down the hall towards us informing us we are going nowhere and need to see some ID. I actually didn’t bring mine on the call and that of course was an issue. What was even more of an issue was the fact that 2 years ago I had been arrested in the hotel on a bust and had officially been trespassed so I could be going to jail. The security guy was actually going to let us go since the guys said we were okay we just got into an argument and everything was fine, but here came the security supervisor and he wasn’t letting anyone go.

This whole time little did we know that vice was sitting in the security office listening in on this call and had told the supervisor to go upstairs to see what was going on. Vice had been in the hotel making a bust for girls soliciting and much to their dismay, had only grabbed 4 girls (usually they get 10 or more) so we were going no where and definitely going to jail once they found out we had both been trespassed before. They told us we didn’t have to go to jail for trespassing but since I had flubbed on my information (hell I had a flight to catch) we were both going in. Cops are assholes and liars because as soon as we stepped in the room he said we were going to jail. Nothing was changing his mind.

So yes… I missed my flight by about 24 hours but finally got out of town the next morning. Thank god. I also proved one of my “news stories through the hooker grapevine” to be true. If the arresting officer puts at the top of your booking sheet “Vice Related” there is an automatic hold for 48 hrs and no own recognizance releases. Why did I get out within 24 hrs and O.R.’ed? Luckily the asshole arresting us didn’t put “vice related” on any of our forms that were only trespassing. That was a blessing in disguise. So hopefully this won’t happen to me for another 2 years again because I can say, I truly didn’t miss jail.

It’s Rodeo Time! And A Marathon! And A Fight At MGM… Oh My!

Friday, December 5th, 2008

Quite the weekend I [hope] this will be. Every December the rodeo rolls into town with their big dually trucks and trailers to set up shop and try to grab their bit of the prize money offered. It’s amazing how many people participate in the rodeo for it to go on (especially the livestock yard that is created in a baseball field of the University of Nevada, Las Vegas). I enjoy some of the cowboys that come into town for customers, but I do know you have to have extreme patience since there is nothing like this in Casper, Wyoming. So like I mentioned before… the rodeo is here until the 13th or so.

Saturday night is the De la Hoya fight against Pacquiao. . I am not interested in fights, but I am interested only when they are two popular and undefeated boxers like these two. Already I’ve gone on two or three calls of fans who are in town a little bit early. Hooray! Maybe they will want to have more fun than the cowboys.

Sunday is the ever-growing Las Vegas Marathon. I can promise you one thing, they don’t cause a spike in my line of business when they are preparing to run. I think one time out of 3 years the marathon has been around that I have had a customer in the race want some sort of private entertainment. The only annoying thing to me is how they close down the Strip for the morning. That makes it extremely difficult for an escort to get to hotel rooms in a timely manner. I remember the first year I was trying to get to the Mirage and got stuck on the wrong side of the race. It was a nightmare and took an hour to get to the hotel only for it to not work out. Bummer

So I hope this weekend turns out good because it’s boring. Unfortunately I don’t have any new good stories to tell… hopefully this weekend will change that.

It’s Late And Slow But That’s Nothing New For December In Vegas

Thursday, December 4th, 2008

Yea tough economic times this and tough times that. The economic situation is the new excuse for clients. I giggle every time I hear someone scoff at tipping for entertainment claiming, “Don’t you know we’re in a recession?” Uhm, maybe so but men still pay for fun so no you don’t get a freebee! I know that casino revenues are down, I know strippers are getting lonely in the clubs, but I think people still know that paying for a girl for sex is a better value than blowing it downstairs or in the club. Yes, it has become more difficult and yes the fall in Las Vegas is a rollercoaster (when *isn’t* this town a rollercoaster?) but overall I have tried to deal by having patience. It seems to be my best trait and it ends up paying off. Sometimes things are out of my control (like clients tonight being overdrawn or forgetting their credit card and ID at the strip club they were just at) but I tend to sit it out and try harder than most other girls. I have tried ditching the more picky and stingy side of me… definitely a positive lesson to learn.

Moving onto something more interesting! Thanks to Simon who emailed me this link to an article on Scientific American about why men buy sex. I found it fairly interesting and thorough but it also made me realize: I’m glad I am a sex worker in the United States. Sounds odd but from the article and the many stories I hear from clients who gloat about getting a girl (or two) all night for $20 in Thailand, or the German clients who get seriously upset when they don’t get sex for the agency fee (since intercourse is often times approximately $100 or less), I couldn’t imagine working some place where I didn’t feel much value due to the amount of money I made. That is also one of the reasons why I felt so bad when I read how much Amanda Brooks was making on her clients at Bellas Ranch. I would feel like less of a person if the money I was making didn’t add up to the work I did. That, to me, is abusive. Anyway, I went off a tangent but the main point is it’s a pretty good article. I think most people here in Las Vegas get girls because they are tired of the games girls play at the clubs and want the no-hassle/no strings attached approach. I think it’s a good idea! (of course)
