The Craziest Las Vegas Wind Storm and the M.A.G.I.C. Convetion
This week is the MAGIC convention (I can’t find what it stands for but its basically a large fashion show for clothing makers that draws a lot of people). You could have fooled me that these people were even in town because it has been fairly quiet and the people I have gone to see on calls were not even here for any particular reason but to go on vacation in Vegas. The only reason why I know the fashion people are in town by the way people were dressed in the Venetian while I sat to eat at the Grand Lux Cafe. Great people watching site along with great way to assess how many crazy people come to Vegas. It’s amazing.
Besides the convention in town the other event going on is the hurricane force wind storm we are having. We get an amazing amount of wind here during the spring months but tonight is just something else. How’s a girl to keep her dress down in this weather? Heh. The answer is: she doesn’t! I am sure that is a factor in tonight’s quietness. I have seen at least two signs smashed to bits and a P.F. Chang’s sign that seemed to be speared by itself and slid down til it stopped on the larger part of its support beam. Wow. What a mess.
Hope some guys stay in their room and decide to get a girl to stay warm n’ toasty. I can surely help.

ahhh Magic! here’s my theory on why Magic doesn’t do big business.. Gay men and women. its the fashion industry!
I wanna go to Vegas to work when there’s a tool convention or a concrete convention or something, that’s when it will be uber busy!

February 18th, 2008 at 5:32 pmYes… very true Jenny. The concrete convention that was just here is one of the best conventions. Unfortunately it doesn’t come every year!
True about gay men/women.. its kind of like when the hair stylist convention is in town over the summer. Dead as a doornail.
Thanks for clearing up the confusion Steve!
