Tis the Season: Las Vegas Vice Squad Spreading the Holiday Cheer!
So if you previously read in my wordpress blog I was arrested twice last fall for solicitation of prostitution. Both cases were dismissed thankfully but it’s always a concern to be on the lookout for trouble I can avoid. The second time I was arrested was during the slow slow part of the year in Vegas between Thanksgiving and Christmas (minus the huge National Finals Rodeo that comes into town the first week of December). This town gets super slow and girls get desperate for cash and start “freelancing” (strolling through casinos or bars trying to pick up a customer) more frequently and stand out a little more than usual in the mostly empty casinos.
Now I don’t know if the girls are just that obvious that they get picked up and arrested more or if the vice squad gets that BORED during this time that they just arrest girls by the truckload. I haven’t heard of girls in jail in a few months and now I am hearing from several girls that have been taken in the past week. One girl’s abil bondsman informed her about 300 girls have been taken in the past week or so. Jesus Christ. That makes me nervous and I better start knocking on wood that I don’t fall into their trap. That’s the last thing I need right now.
Sorry for the sparse posting since before the holiday. After a death in the family followed by Thanksgiving I haven’t been to motivated to write though maybe it would have helped some to get out some of my emotions. Thanksgiving was awesome and I am still trying to recover from that over-eating festivity! Pictures to come… I just need to get back into the swing of things.

Interesting how prostitution in Vegas is so infamously legal and yet you’ve had legal troubles anytime you’ve tried to be an *independent* working girl. I’m often skeptical of legalized prostitution because it really only means that PIMPING has been legalized: brothels, strip clubs, porn producers, escort agencies (most of this stuff is legal anyway in places where prostitution is illegal). Dennis Hof can strut around Nevada with his shirt hanging open bragging about all the millions he makes off the women in his cat houses, but you get arrested for trying to make a few bucks on your own. Women turning themselves out is just going too far I guess…sigh.

I know about how slow it is my lady works in the clubs and it has been very slow…and money for her is short and I kid her and tell her to do some dinner dates but she is not sure..Be careful because the man is looking..Have a great week and make sure you you check twice

December 24th, 2007 at 1:28 pmcompartments: I wish prostitution was legal here in this county sometimes and then I think of how much it would be taxed and how much less I would probably make. Legal problems is just a risk I take and it’s part of the job. This year I thankfully stayed out of jail! Yippie! There was one call I got and it just sounded fishy and I decided not to go. Hopefully I can avoid any more problems.. knock on wood
